Privacy Notice

Keeping customer information secure is a top priority for all of us at Madison County Bank. This notice will tell you how we collect, handle, and disclose personal information about you. This notice will also tell you how you can limit our disclosing personal information about you. If you are a joint account holder, we will accept the privacy choices form from either of you and apply it to the entire account. This notice also applies to former customers as well as current customers unless we state otherwise. If you have previously given us you privacy choices, then there is no need to do so again, unless you wish to change your instructions.

The personal information we collect about you, that you might consider to be private, such as account numbers, social security numbers, income and net worth (non-public personal information) comes from the following sources:

•  Information we receive from you on applications or other forms.

•  Information about your transactions with us or our affiliates.

•  Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency.

•  Information we receive about you from other sources, such as your employer and other third parties.

We may disclose any of the above information that we collect to affiliates and/or nonaffiliated third parties as described below.

Affiliates to Whom We May Disclose Personal Information

Our affiliates are other companies that are controlled by Madison County Bank. Affiliates to whom we may disclose personal information about you are in several businesses, including credit cards, consumer finance, insurance, and securities. Our affiliates include Bush and Roe Financial, Inc.

Nonaffiliated Third Parties to Whom We May Disclose Personal Information

Nonaffiliated third parties are those entities not a part of companies controlled by Madison County Bank. We may disclose personal information about you to the following types of nonaffiliated third parties:

•  Financial Service providers, such as companies engaged in banking, credit cards, consumer finance, securities, and insurance, and

•  Non-financial companies such as companies engaged in direct marketing and the selling of consumer products and services.

Your Privacy Choices

This section describes your privacy choices; please remember that we will continue to protect your personal information regardless of your privacy choices. Also, we may disclose personal information about you to third parties as permitted by law, including disclosures necessary to process and service your Madison County Bank account.

Choice 1: Disclosing to Nonaffiliated Third Parties As described in this notice, we will limit the personal information about you that we disclose to nonaffiliated third parties.

Choice 2: Sharing With Madison County Bank Affiliates The law allows us to share with our affiliates any information about our transactions or experiences with you. Unless otherwise permitted by law, we will not share with our affiliates other information that you provide to us or that we obtain from third parties.

While information is the cornerstone of our ability to provide superior sevice, our most important asset is our customers' trust. Keeping customer information secure, and using it only as our customers would want us to, is a top priority for all of us at Madison County Bank.

If you choose to limit disclosure of personal information about you as described in this notice, please notify us by writing to Madison County Bank, P.O. Box 650, Madison, NE 68748 and advise us of your privacy choices by providing your name, address, telephone number and account numbers and whether you request to limit the personal information about you that we share with nonaffiliated third parties (Choice 1) or Madison County Bank affiliates (Choice 2), or both (Choice 1 and 2). Be sure to include account number(s) in your privacy choices, since your privacy will be applied only to the accounts which you identified.

We recognize that protecting children's identities and privacy is important. We do not knowingly market to or solicit information from children under 13 without parental consent.

Boone County Bank is participating in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through June 30, 2010, all non interest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.
